A retail experience inspired by Hennessy’s savoir-faire to showcase the Maison’s prestigious and rare cognacs and a novel customization service.
The new Hennessy corner located on the third floor at Paris landmark department store La Samaritaine is an elegant showcase for the Maison’s prestigious and rare cognacs, including a customization service for Hennessy X.O and Hennessy Paradis. Inspired by Hennessy’s savoir-faire, the curved, airy lines of the display reminisce the oak staves worked by the cooper craftsmen, a skill passed down for centuries from generation to generation.
This art of cooperage is honored with a new customization service through a dedicated leather case specifically designed for the Hennessy Paradis magnum. An exclusive skin precisely wrapping the curves of the bottle, just like the staves giving shape to barrels used for blending cognac. Entirely sheathed in braided leather, the design subtly reveals the cognac in its decanter. The leather cover is made by French artisanal tanneries.
The art of calligraphy, which the Maison's experts affix to the most precious barrels, is taken up again with the Hennessy Hands workshop, allowing decanters to be personalized with a customized engraving.
Silver, gold or bronze, customers can now have their initials engraved on a Hennessy X.O or Hennessy Paradis bottle. The workshop also offers the possibility of selecting a leather clip accessory that harmoniously wraps around the neck of the decanters, available in various colors.
Throughout the year, the Hennessy space will feature exclusive collaborations of Hennessy limited editions created by designers and artists.
“Hennessy is proud to offer this brand new space at La Samaritaine: it is the spirit of Cognac taking root in the heart of Paris. We are continuing our desire to promote the expertise of the Maison Hennessy,” said Laurent Boillot, CEO of Hennessy.
“With this new offer, Hennessy invites you to discover a unique, made-to-measure experience. By capitalizing on our desire to create innovative, high-end concepts, we can offer our customers the opportunity to rediscover the French art of living,” said Laurent Boidevezi, President of Moët Hennessy Asia Pacific, Travel Retail & Private Sales.
The Hennessy space at La Samaritaine was inaugurated on 3 February 2023 and is accessible during opening hours. Personalization is done on site.
